On the Air!

East Hill Radio is on the air! We came back on the air on the 22nd at 1:50 am. We're running on a TH-II transmitter with an indoor aerial and are getting about 1/8 of a mile of coverage. I haven't driven the radius of the signal yet as we have been very busy with work, settling in and Christmas. I'm looking for a site for the Rangemaster as I probably won't be able to site it in my neighborhood.

East Hill Radio wishes all of you a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year.

Move delays, the windstorm and more

We've made the move to our new home and have been working on getting the station up and operating. Our initial push has been to get the AM station on the air. Then the wind storm hit.

The Puget Sound has been hit by one of the worst storm in recent history. The Stampede Pass weather station recorded one gust at 113 mph, equal to a category 3 hurricane. Damage throughout the region is extensive and many areas are still without power. Our own location in Snoqualmie will be without power until midweek. This has delayed our return to the air.

We have had to move back to our old home (fortunately, yet unrented!) until power returns to our new home. Then we'll be able to begin working on the station.
